Porte Ponderings:

We had hoped that the USA President was going to win a Nobel Peace Prize and establish long lasting peace in Gaza, ending the bombing and genocide.

The cease fire has already been broken and Israel has started bombing what’s left of the strip. Genocide is real.

So the USA President’s latest plan was to evacuate all remaining Palestinians out of the demolition zone and as refugees into neighboring Muslim Countries.

huh? Scratching my head. What did he say?
To remove the Muslims from Gaza?
His Peace Plan is to help the Israelis remove the Muslims from their land?
To make Palestinians refugees? Dreaded immigrants?

Love and magic have a great deal in common.
They enrich the soul, delight the heart.
And they both take practice.

Porte Musings:

Nora Roberts is my husband’s favorite author. He has over 100 books to prove it. We went to Ireland just to see some of the places she has written about. So on this Thanksgiving Monday, after the turkey dinner and family celebrating yesterday it seems like a good day to curl up with one of her books and just relax.

I work hard,
I have talent,
I’m funny,
and I’m a good person.

Daily affirmations should include the same ones as Pink.

Yesterday’s adventure was a trip to Point Pelee National Park, Leamington Ontario with my sister and my kayaks. The launch there is beautiful, easy to access and easy to use. You can do a short 1 hour kayak along the boardwalk or branch out into the adjoining “lakes”. But be careful, once you get out into one of the smaller lakes, everything can start to look the same with tall reeds all around you. We had a small panic moment, but found our way out and back to the boardwalk for lunch after an almost 4 hour kayak.

Our adventure started with a guided tour along the boardwalk by a beautiful pair of Mute Swans. In the larger Lake Pond we were shown their 4 babies, now adolescents.

The kayaking was wonderful so we thought we would go on the tram to the point. However, we didn’t bring long pants and the flies were biting, so we cut the trip short.
