Some days it feels like we are like baby wood ducks. We hatched and our parents led us to the water where we were left to sink or swim.

I’ve been very lucky. I have 3 sisters that I remain close to. There are some who have placed money between each other and mis-placed loyalties. I continue to celebrate the lives of my sisters and being close with them.

Less than 24 hours old the baby zebra at Greenview Park and Zoo was snuggling it’s mother looking for more food. It’s mother was watching to ensure we didn’t get any closer to her most precious treasure. ❤

An adolescent raccoon took refuge in my maple tree for the day. Tucked up among the branches, hiding her eyes, as if she was invisible to the world. Looking for her forever home and realizing this is only a temporary hiding place. Gone the next day to another refuge, maybe her new nest.
