Maybe like the ugly duckling I was never a duck or a swan, but a Woodstork, unique and vibrant. Today marks my 67th birthday. I’m so lucky to have a wonderful family, a few close friends and good health. Aging may not be for sissies, but I’m blessed because so many aren’t allowed the pleasure of growing old. Besides it’s better than the alternative 😉 Looking forward to the next trip around the sun. Tomorrow’s solar eclipse may not be visible due to clouds, but it will still happen.

Just like birds are born to fly, people are born to follow their own paths. Joan of Arc was burned at the stake for following hers’, but she wouldn’t deny her faith.

Today is my step-son’s birthday. As he edges closer to 50, it makes me feel older as well. Always full of energy, able to make us smile, almost on command, he is enjoying driving truck and living in West Lorne. Although I think he will never be completely satisfied and will always looking for that one thing better. Always striving for that extra bit. A quality driving him forward.
