CANCER SUCKS!
Small cell cancer, bone cancer, lung cancer, brain cancer, breast cancer, tongue cancer, throat cancer, colon cancer, kidney cancer, pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer, uterine cancer, skin cancer….
It’s taken so many of my friends and family. And those that it hasn’t taken but infected, live on with the effects of treatments or memory of how it attacked and devastated their lives.
Early detection and treatment is so important. So keep getting those mammograms, colonoscopies and ultrasounds.
We’ve been lucky. Harold has lost a kidney to cancer as well as parts of his colon and stomach. Both were found accidently, through testing for other ailments. Surgery was the only treatment needed and he didn’t have to have chemo or radiation. I hope the doctor left the horse shoes up Harold’s a…… because he certainly needs them.

Yes, take opportunities as they come.
But you can’t take every opportunity.
As summer is coming to a close it seems like everyone is scheduling events for you to attend. This last long weekend of the summer is a prime example. At Port Glasgow Trailer Park there are events scheduled all weekend with a silent auction and craft show scheduled for Saturday.
Next weekend is a baby shower for my grand nephew in Mount Brydges.
Then all the September birthdays. It’s as if my family tried to get a birthday for everyday of the month.
Not to mention all the Doctor appointments scheduled for September.
