Porte Ponderings:

Well, I had my dedicated Trick or Treaters come to visit last night. I’ve been so disappointed about Hurricane Melissa and our trip to Jamaica being cancelled, I didn’t get out my camera last night. But I did use my cell phone to “capture” all of my wonderful guests.

Porte Ponderings:

I was lucky enough to attend my nephew’s wedding yesterday.

Just as I started to play flute, ambulances and firetrucks sped past the venue. I paused and continued once the sirens stopped. Unbeknown to me they were headed to the caterer’s facility. I started to play and had to go through the selections twice before the ceremony started. Luckily the caterer was still able to provide service for the wedding (although a little bit later).

I’ve also found my new favorite editing distortion “spikey halo”.

DAILY TAROT: Three of Swords

I am in charge of how I feel today.

A heart with three swords piercing it. Some interpret it as an emotional upset, but the positive affirmation is that no matter what happens you are the only one responsible for how you feel and how you respond. So today remember I am in charge of how I feel today.

Porte Photos’ Daily Quote: September 28th

My work is being destroyed
almost as soon as it is printed.
One day it is being read;
the next day someone’s wrapping fish in it.

~ Al Capp
American – Cartoonist September 28, 1909 – November 5, 1979

Porte Ponderings:

The newspaper is in grave danger of being lost forever as more and more close down.

Soon we won’t have anything to wrap our fish in.
