A recent wind storm blew down my fence, leaving it hanging. Our insurance company had it removed between us and our neighbour and is arranging for it to be replace. The timeline is 4-6 weeks. In the meantime we enjoy an open view. Thank goodness we pay our insurance.

Our new motorcycle helmets were in, so we went to pick them up. Mine was at Hully Gully. The staff at the Parts desk wasn’t very attentive. The first guy was too busy to even tell us where the washroom was. The second guy didn’t usually work with accessories. Finally he called someone who could help. She was excellent. She changed the shield for me and helped me ensure the helmet was a good fit.

Rockies’ Harley Store was a different story. The lady at the counter helped us with the helmet and we decided the 3/4 face we had ordered wasn’t for my husband (He has too big of a head and they didn’t make them in 3X). She helped find another type that was the right size and fit comfortably. The price was twice of mine, but my husband is very happy with his helmet.

If only we had a leader like Lester B. Pearson now. Someone who could negotiate a peaceful agreement in the Middle East. Someone to put an end to this senseless bombing and killing.

On my walk this morning I met one of my ex-supervisors and friends, Joan Mavrovich. She looks so young, trim and healthy. She and her husband still walk everyday, rain, snow or sunshine.

Snapshots: First performances at the Wright Family Performing Arts & Entertainment Centre on Sunday April 21st, 2024. The play was excellent, the acting amazing, the venue is growing nicely but still needs more work. Seating is limited and there were no balcony seats yet. But it was an honour to be able to attend and I am looking forward to attending many more. Ghosts and memories of WWII are brought to life by the performances of the wonderful actors/actresses. A deal for those attending.
