Porte Ponderings:
Just a simple black dish on a fence with some daffodils. Prepared ahead, waiting for spring, then suddenly blooms adding colour and joy.
Unable to go back to sleep, I got up at 5AM and made some bread dough. 10-12 hours from now I’ll be able to shape the loaves. 3 hours more and they can go into the oven. 45 minutes later and they will be 2 beautiful sourdough loaves of bread.
Remember tonight… for it is the beginning of always.

Porte Ponderings:
The Tuesday after the May 24 long weekend. It’s so hard to get going after resting at the trailer for a couple of days. The oriole feeder is set-up and orioles are already fighting over the grape jelly. Phlox line the sand cliffs to the beach and Lake Erie was completely flat. To me the water isn’t warm enough for swimming until July, but my grandson loved it.
My husband left early on Monday morning to supervise the fence completion. We can let Rickie out again unsupervised for short periods of time. The cat even figured out this morning how to jump to the top and have a stroll along the top.

Porte Ponderings:
Spring is such a busy time.
Added to it this year is our fence replacement thanks to a windstorm. Luckily we have insurance, but our backyard looks like a bomb went off. Pieces of fence everywhere. The new fence is starting to take shape.
Then we decided it was time to paint the garage. I can’t plant my vegetable garden until the painting is done. And it’s time to plant. The Horticultural Society had their annual plant sale yesterday. The first market of the year was held last night.
Despite local bylaws fireworks have been let off Friday and Saturday nights. They will also probably be lit tonight and the legal night tomorrow.

Porte Ponderings:
The cowbird is best known for how it lays it’s egg in another bird’s nest then leaves. The offspring grows fast and is so demanding, draining the resources of the adoptive parents. But it is a beautiful bird. So don’t judge the mother or the child. This is what they have always done and known. It is an intergenerational survival mechanism.
DAILY TAROT: I THE MAGICIAN
I have the power to make my dreams come true.
Hindustan Times: Meaning of The Magician card
The Magician card in tarot has several meanings. It’s like a magical card that can tell us different things.
First, it’s about “manifesting,” which means making your dreams come true. Imagine you have a dream, like becoming a famous painter. The Magician card says you can make it happen.
Second, it’s about “healing.” When something is broken or not going well in your life, the Magician card can mean you’re going to fix it or make it better.
Third, it’s connected to “spirituality,” which means thinking about things that are bigger than just us. Like, wondering about the stars or why we’re here on Earth.
Fourth, it’s linked to the “divine,” which is like believing in a higher power or something special guiding us.
