Maybe my favorite photos are taken when I’m wandering alone? The one I chose for today’s quote was taken early in the morning in my local conservation area. I’ve never seen a goose nesting in a tree before. She watched me carefully from her lofty perch. I later ran into another person on the trail who said the goose was also there a year ago. So I missed seeing the unique goose last year. How many other people walked past her?
I was lucky enough to go one a hike, by myself in Cuba and see the bats. No one else I was traveling with wanted to hike, let alone see bats. For me it was a unique experience. I’m glad I’m brave enough or stupid enough to hike alone. 😉

Today would have been my Grandmother’s Birthday. She was unique, and full of life. She loved a party and to dance. She broke the rules and did it her way. ❤

Yesterday’s ice storm covered the trees and ground mercilessly. Luckily the temperatures rose and the ice melted withing a few hours. Some lives were changed forever as road conditions lead to accidents and deaths locally.
