May 1st, the day Port Glasgow Trailer Park is officially open for the 2025 season. And it’s last season to be managed by the Corporation of the Municipality of West Elgin. We signed “license to occupy” agreements instead of “leases” so we no longer have the right to vote in Municipal Elections. We are required to pay a $1,000 deposit to ensure we vacate our sites prior to the end of October 2025. The Municipality intends to sell (or some other solution) the trailer park. I’m hoping the Municipality decides to lease the trailer park to a group representing the residents and we get to stay.

If only we had a leader like Lester B. Pearson now. Someone who could negotiate a peaceful agreement in the Middle East. Someone to put an end to this senseless bombing and killing.

On my walk this morning I met one of my ex-supervisors and friends, Joan Mavrovich. She looks so young, trim and healthy. She and her husband still walk everyday, rain, snow or sunshine.

Figuratively and literally. I love starting my plants in my little greenhouse. Harold is building a new shelf for me that will almost double the amount of space for my seedlings. Of course it cost twice as much as buying one, but it will be custom made with love. ❤
