Porte Photos’ School Photos:

Our local contracted school photographer is now using background replacement technology instead of using a real background. This often results in “helmet head” especially for people with naturally curly hair or unnatural colours. So if yours came back as helmet head or unnatural colours, having retakes by the same photographer will have the same result. I can do “school photo like” photos of a much better quality for the same price or less and you get the jpgs so you can print or share on social media.

Theirs vs Porte Photos

Porte Photos’ Pic of the Day: Saturday, June 29th, 2024

We do not remember days,
we remember moments.

The richness of life lies in
memories we have forgotten.

Porte Ponderings:

While taking Grade 8 Graduation Photos for my niece her grandmother asked to have an action trampoline photo. This action photo freezes them above the trampoline having fun.

Engagement Photos can be as simple as a close-up of the couple or the couple with a beautiful back ground like the one in this picture taken at Centennial Park in Strathroy.

I include Engagement Photos when you sign a contract for wedding photos. The minimum charge for wedding photos is $500.

Or you could just hire Porte Photos for Engagement Photos at my standard rate of $100 per hour (minimum $100).

Hiring a photographer?

  • Check out their website first to see how much they charge and what their style is.
  • Call/e-mail/text with your inquiries.
  • Don’t be shy.
  • Let them know when and where you want them to be as well as the type of occasion or what the photos will be used for.
  • If you want a certain type of pose or photo let them know.
I’ve had customers send me samples of what they were looking for.
  • Review the written agreement.
If you need changes let the photographer know.
Most photographers use an agreement as a discussion document.
  • Be on time and ready.
  • SMILE and Have Fun ❤
  • Pay your invoice in a timely manner.
  • If you’re not happy with the end product talk with the photographer.
  • If you are happy with the work be certain to rate the business on line and let your contacts know. 😉
