Porte Musings:
The International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace is set aside to remember the 1945 UN Charter. As we strive to remember we all share the same planet. This group working together can find global solutions to global problems. How appropriate that it falls on Saturday of Earth Week.
The last Saturday in April is Eeyore’s Birthday. So light a candle on a cupcake and wish our favorite character suffering from depression. And a quick reminder that we really don’t have to do anything to help our friends, just be there.
One of the least appreciated senses: smell is celebrated today. Celebrate National Sense of Smell Day. Fill your world with good scents, a little lavender, a heritage rose or bacon.
Today is National Go Birding Day, so even when you are limited to your homes, we can see and hear the birds we love so dearly. The hummingbirds are coming! I’ve seen maps of their migration northward this week. Fill your hummingbird feeders to give them a quick boost on their way north. Remember don’t use red dies. Just 1 cup of sugar and 4 cups of water brought to a boil then cooled before setting out in your favorite hummingbird feeder will help our welcome guests as they head for their summer homes. Remember to change the nectar on a regular basis to prevent disease, because the ants and bees also love the sweet nectar.

Thanks for the reminder about the hummingbirds. I love to feed the birds and enjoy watching them from the window. Have a good day!
