Retiring from one job to receive a pension and doing what you like means you can follow your passions or learn new skills.
It’s been almost 12 years since I retired from my job at Canada Post. The thing I miss most is the people. Many of which I’ve stayed in contact with via Facebook.
I’ve learned photography, painting, baking bread and many other skills. I’ve been able to take care of myself, my husband and my family much better. I’ve been able to travel, spend winters in Florida, and summers at Port Glasgow Trailer Park.
Spending time with my grandchildren has been such a blessing.
Today is my oldest son’s birthday. Just a little more than a week after my greatest sorrow of loosing my mother, my greatest joy was born. He brought us hope and a reminder of the circle of life. He has always enjoyed living on the edge and doing the unexpected. He has grown into a hard working man, a father and husband.
