Porte Ponderings:
Looking at past photos for a homework assignment had me looking at all the photos I’ve taken since I’ve retired.
I didn’t buy a DSLR until I had been retired for a couple of years. The first one I bought was a Nikon D60 from my stepson. I still think these are some of the best photos I took. The D60 is much slower than the other cameras I had. But I didn’t know any better, so I was learning. Composition was most important. I attended many events in Florida and my camera was always in hand. The first Brooksville Reenactment I went to I made the rookie error of not bringing a spare battery. By the time the battle started my battery was under 25%. But I still managed to get some really nice shots.
Post 2020 COVID pandemic and there are no longer any re-enactments occurring. Politically they became improper.
My only concern is that people who fail to learn from history are doomed to keep repeating it.
DEI is now being closed down in the USA. Acronyms have a way of desensitizing the issue.
Keep saying the real words:
DIVERSITY
EQUALITY
INCLUSION
