Love is a fire.
But whether it is going
to warm your hearth
or burn down your house,
you can never tell.

Porte Musings:

We always talk about it and it’s always changing so let’s celebrate it today. World Meteorological Day or as most of us would call it Weather Day.

We all love them. Puppies. All types of Puppies. They’re so cute. Today is National Puppy Day. So get one if you can afford one. The prices of puppies escalated during the pandemic and no indication that they will ever go down. I prefer “free to a good home” or one of those dogs on the euthanasia list because no one wants them. Rickie came from the Tampa Shelter. My 20 dollar dog. On sale because the local radio station sponsored a sale rather than see the dogs euthanized. Only 5 1/2 years old, dirty, and sick he stole our hearts. Now 8 years later, still healthy he steals the hearts of everyone he meets in the park on vacation in Florida.

Rickie our 20 dollar dog.

One thing every dog loves is chips. I have no idea how they can hear the bag open. But they don’t want to miss a treat. So celebrate National Chip and Dip Day as quietly as you can. 😉

Porte Musings:

It’s a beautiful day to celebrate World Meteorological Day. Early springtime and we’re having wonderfully sunny warm days. Spring bulbs are peaking out of the ground. Just the type of weather that makes a person appreciate being alive. Unfortunately, for the maple syrup makers, it’s too warm in the daytime and it isn’t cold enough at night, so the season might come to an early end.

Bouncing baby puppies and we all want one. The pandemic has causes a huge increase in pet adoptions and a shortage of puppies. So if you’re lucky enough to have a puppy celebrate National Puppy Day. If you don’t have one, watch some sweet clips on Facebook of puppies.

And as sweet as that is at least there’s no sugar. Cut back on your sugar (and carb) consumption, maintain a well balanced diet, exercise daily and check your blood sugar levels. Today the the American Diabetes Association Alert Day. Advances in diabetes control have certainly made life much easier for diabetics. No more finger pricks to check blood sugars, instead a small monitor that can be read on a continuous basis is worn on the upper arm to track all those highs and lows with a quick scan.
