When you start about family, about lineage and ancestry,
you are talking about every person on earth.

Mountain Day (Japan)

Global Kinetic Sand Day *

Roots.  Where did we come from?  Everybody has their own story.  The struggles or titles by our ancestors that are told from generation to generation.  Some hidden skeletons in the closet that have never been acknowledged.  Genetic alterations that can lead to life long challenges or something as simple as the nose on your face.

It is the only time in history where parentage is being questioned by genetic testing available for less than $100 through Ancestry.ca (or Ancestry.com in the USA).

The definition of “Status Indian” has been recently changed in Canada, so now the “Status” also is passed down by females as well as males.  Finally Matriarchal societies are being remembered and recognized.  After all, your mother is your mother but your father can only be proved by genetic testing.

There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children.
One of these is roots, the other, wings.
