Porte Photos’ Daily Quote: January 1, 2023

I’ve a great fancy to see my own funeral afore I die.

~ Maria Edgeworth

Porte Ponderings:

Grow old along with me!
The best is yet to be,
the last of life, for which the first was made.
Our times are in his hand who saith,
‘A whole I planned, youth shows but half;
Trust God: See all, nor be afraid!

~ Robert Browning

Happy New Year. ❤

Porte Photo’s Daily Quote: September 26, 2022

I don’t know what my path is yet.
I’m just walking on it.

~ Olivia Newton-John
Musician / Born: September 26, 1948 Died: August 8, 2022

Porte Musings:

Busy weekend over and I’m ready for the 2nd Repatha shot. If the weather co-operates I’ll also be going on my second ride with CMC 021. I really am a fair weather only rider.

Of all the songs Olivia Newton-John did when she passed everyone only remembered her for Grease but I remember her for Physical and the Promise (the Dolphin Song) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jau-m6qlc84.

So, even though you may not know your path, keep walking it ❤

Daily Quote: October 25, 2020

Find out what your gift is and nurture it.

~Katy Perry (American – Musician Born: October 25, 1984)

Holidays and Celebrations:

National Art Day – USA

Vijayadashami – Hindu Festival

World Pasta Day

Finding your gift can be a life long journey for some. For others they know very early what their gift is and they are driven to nurture it.

When asked what they want to be when they grow up they have definite plans and professions. Others like John Lennon, just want to be happy (and when told they didn’t understand the question they reply that the questioner didn’t understand life).

So with the triumph of good over evil we celebrate life. Keep looking for your gift if you haven’t found it yet.

Daily Quote: August 29, 2020

As people are walking all the time,
in the same spot, a path appears.
~ John Locke (English – Philosopher / August 29, 1632 – October 28, 1704 )

Holidays and Celebrations:

International Day against Nuclear Tests

Ashura Starts

Following your own path may be idealistic, but I prefer to stay on the trails in the Provincial Parks. Staying on the trails you can’t get lost and the probability of getting ticks (or poison ivy) is much less.
