Porte Musings:

If Love’s first duty is to listen, then today is the day to do it, while you celebrate National Radio Day. Remembering such an amazing invention, transmission of human voices through the air for free to your own listening device. Sharing music, poetry, comedy, news and advertisements…..

Locally West Nile has been detected in mosquitos. So to remember World Mosquito Day, get out there and dump and standing pools of water to reduce the places for mosquito larvae. That’s one of the reasons I keep gold fish in my little pond. I don’t support the use of pesticides to get rid of the mosquitos. The terrible, disease carrying pests are at the entry point of the food chain for frogs and fish. Using pesticides for mosquitos is also not insect specific and effects all “bugs” including people in the environment.

The tomatoes are turning red in the gardens and what a perfect day to celebrate National Bacon Day by having a toasted bacon and tomato sandwich for lunch. ❤
