The corn is turning brown,
The trees in apple orchards
With fruit are bending down.

Holidays and Special Occasions
September 1st:
The beginning of September and the end of summer is edging closer. Days are swiftly becoming shorter. I spent a day at beach 2 in Pinery Provincial Park with my grandsons yesterday. The water was flat, warm and murky. I’ve never seen the sand bars extend our swim area (or should I say walking distance) out so far from shore. Taking my older grandson home the moon smiled down on us large and clear.
As people are walking all the time,
in the same spot, a path appears.
~ John Locke (English – Philosopher / August 29, 1632 – October 28, 1704 )
Holidays and Celebrations:
Following your own path may be idealistic, but I prefer to stay on the trails in the Provincial Parks. Staying on the trails you can’t get lost and the probability of getting ticks (or poison ivy) is much less.
Words are but pictures of our thoughts.
~ John Dryden (English – Poet August 19, 1631 – May 12, 1700)
