August in John E Pearce Provincial Park and the marsh trail is lined with Black Eyed Susans highlighted by a background of Queen Anne’s Lace.  Monarch butterflies glide through the air and grasshoppers flee as you walk down the path.  This is one of the few Ontario Provincial Parks where there is no entrance fee or parking fee.  The winding marsh trail leads to the pine grove.  The Spicer Trail is lined with grass, so in the dewy August mornings I tend not to walk there without a pair of rubber boots.
