Porte Ponderings:

Last week we enjoyed July like temperatures. Everything sprung to life and this Robin found the best place in the yard to make her nest. Sheltered by the garage roof overhang and high enough that no one can bother her family.

She left the nest only for short periods of time and was very cautious when she returned to ensure no one saw her approaching. Her mate would cause a distraction when she returned.

Now we will be watching for the emergence of new life in her precious nest. ❤

Easter Sunday

The Holiest of Days for Christians is Easter Sunday when Christ rose from the dead. Fasting and prayers continue on the 16th Day of Ramadan for Muslims and the 3rd day of Passover for Jews.

For all of us Dames, today is Nothing Like a Dame Day.

Ham and Easter celebrations have become linked together. Our potluck at Sleepy Hollow is having ham on National Baked Ham with Pineapple Day. 😉
