Porte Musings:

This month’s theme seems to be equality. Today is International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Let’s break down the barriers and include people with disabilities in all of our day to day activities.

Since COVID restrictions started in March 2020 we really haven’t had enough physical contact. Let’s change that and celebrate Let’s Hug Day.

Christmas is rapidly approaching. If you were planning to make a gift for someone special you’d better get started. Today is Make a Gift Day.

Daily Quote: December 3, 2020

Never respect men merely for their riches, but rather for their philanthropy; we do not value the sun for its height, but for its use.

Holidays and Celebrations:

*Today is my daughter-in-law’s birthday. She has become an important part of the family as she drops in for lunch on Saturday mornings, for a walk to the market or just to visit us with her daughter Emily. She was kind enough when we got home from Texas in March to ensure that we had groceries and extras during our 2 week self-isolation. She was one of the first leaders to step-up and work on a strategy with volunteers for making masks. She is a smart, accomplished young woman that we love with all our hearts. Happy Birthday Katie, may the next year be filled with love.
