Free Speech in Florida?
“Don’t Say Gay” bill was passed and Homosexuality is illegal to talk about in Public Elementary Schools. Disney enterprises dared to speak out against this bill and have been punished for speaking out by loosing their previously gained right to self-govern. They were even warned before the right was legislated away.
Now Florida elected government officials are targeting bloggers.
Any Florida bloggers who write about elected officials will be required to register within 3 days of writing about said government officials. If they fail to register they could be fined $25,000 per report. Do Florida elected officials realize people will write about them who aren’t under their control? Florida elected officials only have jurisdiction in Florida. So this new law will not be applicable to the rest of the world. What will the cost of enforcement be? I suggest everyone write their blogs in Florida about government officials and flood their proposed registration system. Here’s my start: Ron DeSantis, Paul Renner, Fentrice Driskell, John Snyder, ….
