Easy to do if it wasn’t for COVID restrictions, celebrate National Hug Day. Oh well, you’ll have to hug your roommate if your lucky enough to have one. I think strangers would frown on it today. 😉
One-liners Day is one of my favorite days to celebrate. If a parsley farmer gets sued, can they garnish his wages?
Get healthy eat a granola bar on National Granola Bar Day.
We’re getting ready for a Florida vacation. I’ve set up times to meet with all of our boys and their families before we go. I’d have had them all at the same time, but we’re limited to 5 per visit. What a crazy restriction, we’ll just see each separately. I’m looking forward to some sunshine and swimming. Wearing a mask is recommended there but not required. Vaccine passports are illegal. That’s why so many Ontarians have headed south. I’m ready. We sold our summer trailer and are downsizing at home. So renting a trailer in Florida sounds really good. Click here for the CTV article.
If you live to be one hundred, you’ve got it made.

One of my favorite celebrations: Take a Walk Outdoors Day. My daily walking partner is off cruising in the British Virgin Islands, so walking in this cold weather is a little harder than usual, but the snow is pretty.
Today is also International Day of Acceptance. By accepting and welcoming everyone maybe we could actually have equality and peace.
Tonight get out the cheese and crackers to celebrate National Cheese Lovers Day. If you can’t wait, have a grilled cheese for lunch. 😉
Our summer trailer sold yesterday. We weren’t using it much anyways and the annual cost of staying in a trailer park was quickly approaching. The young man that came to buy it talked us down, but it still avoids that annual fee. It was something we tried and just didn’t like so it was time to cut our loses and move on. The tree in today’s quote was on our way to the trailer.
Friendship is a sheltering tree.

To end bullying of LGBQT teens and children today is Spirit Day. Put an end to bullying. Do a random act of kindess.
October 21, 2015 is the day the DeLorean traveled to in the movie “Back to the Future”, so today is remembered as “Back to the Future Day”. To celebrate you can donate to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or just watch one of the Back to the Future movies with a good friend and some popcorn.
Celebrate the fruit of the fall on Apple Day. Apples of all kinds celebrate diversity of communities and people. Eat an apple a day for it’s medicinal purposes. Or today just celebrate the humble apple. Apple cider, upside down cake, juice, cobbler, sauce, candy…..or just a fresh crisp apple.
Living in the middle of a construction zone, we’re preparing for new floors, next week the floor laying begins. The simple task of clearing out the main floor of our 2 story house has turned into paint the baseboards, paint the trim, redecorate the laundry room and now paint the den. Move this, pack that, don’t use the main floor toilet (how lazy we have become, that trip upstairs to use the loo has became a major hurdle.) Add a piece of plywood to the end of the counter. Buy new chairs. Maybe the curtains need to be changed? I can’t wait until this project is done. 😉

We remember World Mental Health Day and World Homeless Day today as we give thanks in our comfortable homes with family and friends for all the blessings we have.
