Porte Ponderings:
Boxing Day. The big meals are done for my Christmas season. We managed to see most of our family, but were glad those from out-of-town stayed safe at home. 4/5 grandchildren came to have supper with us and the 5th opened his presents via facebook messenger.
So earlier than usual I’m boxing up the tree and putting the Christmas Decorations away.
The snow plows have been out working, so most roads are passable. By the end of this week temperatures here will have gone from -12C to +8C. The snow will be melting and the Christmas Eve accidents will be a nightmare. Although the Walmart in Chatham welcomed their overnight guests, I’m certain no one wants a repeat next year 😉
I’m glad we have a house-sitter this year to keep the cats company.
My daughter-in-law put together a wonderful collage of pictures (mainly taken by me) of Christmas over the last few years. It’s amazing how quickly children grow. ❤ Such a pleasure to be able to take pictures on Christmas morning of this family. I’m hoping it’s a tradition we can continue for many years to come. ❤
