It’s been quite a ride.~ Charlton Heston
I loved every minute of it.

So glad I decided to join and attend rides with CMC 021. The last ride of the season was last night. The weather was perfect. We took the long way to Parkhill and returned to Strathroy Burger King. I even won the 50/50 draw (It will probably never happen again. LOL)
I was a late starter and at 50 had never ridden a motorcycle when I saw a contest for a Vespa Scooter in Chatelaine. I entered the contest and didn’t win. So I decided I would buy one. Well, the process for getting a Limited Speed License is the same as getting a license to ride a motorcycle, so my husband convinced me to get my motorcycle license. We signed up for lessons at Fanshawe College. My husband had a perfect score, I had to return for an additional lesson. My first motorcycle was a red 650 Sport Suzzuki. It was light and powerful. We had a lot of fun. It almost felt like I was flying, then we tied the saddlebags down better. Just before I took my final motorcycle test my husband talked me into a bigger motorcycle and I bought a 2009 Yamaha. She is much more grounded and comfortable. But there are days I wish I had kept the Suzzuki.
