As we grow older,
our bodies get shorter
and our anecdotes longer.

Holidays and Celebrations:

Porte Musings:

When talking about intergenerational harm you need look no further than the African Blacks and the effects of the Transatlantic Slave Trade. Ripped from their homes and shipped across the ocean to a cold cruel land. Treated as livestock rather than people. Today is the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade.

Today is also Tolkien Reading Day. So grab a book and read about the hobbits adventures and trials.

My favorite nut is the Pecan. Although there may be disagreements on how to pronounce it, whether it be pe-can or pec-an, they are so good to eat. My holiday in Florida included a new cereal, cinnamon and pecan. Wonderful for breakfast. I’m not certain if it was a limited time flavour or just too popular, but I can’t find it in the local stores again. 😉
