Today is Saint Joseph’s Day, when we honour all the Fathers who raised children that they knew weren’t theirs and took care of the Mothers. Generous men who loved the children and ensured they were protected.
Yep, right in our own backyards, that’s where we need to celebrate National Backyard Day. For most of us it is our refuge from the world, our safe place. But as the Ukrainians continue to be bombed they aren’t safe anywhere. So enjoy your safe backyard and be thankful for the liberties you have.
The third Saturday in March is Maple Syrup Saturday. The sap is running and this year’s crop of Maple Syrup is ready to sample. May my Canadian friends have an excellent harvest this year and have some left over for me. 😉
