Holidays and Celebrations:
Porte Musings:
Christians celebrate St. Luke today. St. Luke was one of the apostles, thought to be an educated non-Jew, perhaps even a doctor. He wrote 2 books of the New Testament: Luke and Acts. Both books were directed at the conversion of non-Jews to Christianity.
Muslim Arabs celebrate Mawlid Un Nabi, the birthday of Mohamad, God’s last messenger. Sunni Muslims don’t celebrate as all birthdays aren’t celebrated, while denominations like Sufis honour the day.

Persons Day commemorates women being legally declared persons in Canada and being able to hold positions in the government.
