Calendar Adjustment Day seems like an appropriate date for today. 40 years ago my world changed. My Mother went for a simple bicycle ride and died of a sudden cardiac arrest. A little more than a week before her first grandchild was born. At 9 months pregnant it was a terrible shock to me. I will never forget the terrible feeling of loss.
To counter the feeling of loss was the joy of my son’s arrival.
But I still miss my Mom every day.
