and I need only describe the spectre
which had haunted my midnight pillow.

Porte Musings:
August 30th, Mary Shelley’s Birthday is a day to remember Frankenstein Day and nightmares. May all your villagers be welcoming instead of waiting outside your door to execute you. Why not get some popcorn and watch an old Frankenstein movie or better still read the book.
Of all the nightmares of the world, on our TV screens are images of Afghan’s wanting to flee Afghanistan as the Taliban are overrunning the country. Today is also a day set aside as International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances. A day to remember all the kidnapped victims and those taken hostage.
Along the same vein of horrors today is also set aside as National Grief Awareness Day. Take time to heal and grieve.
Part of the healing process might include a long walk on one of the many beautiful beaches, sand, wind and waves as you celebrate National Beach Day.
