we must have them and love them
as God has given them to us.

Porte Musings:
The last Saturday in August and although summer doesn’t end until September 21st, the end of summer holidays is rapidly approaching, as students across Ontario look forward to go back to in person learning. How nice it will be for children to go back to school on buses and play in the playgrounds with their friends.
The Jewish holiday of Selichot is celebrated on this Sabbath Day. A day for prayers of forgiveness for sins committed or those of omission as they are approach the Jewish New Year.
Bowtie supporters have a day of their own, as today is National Bowtie Day. A day to show their very own spirit and spin their bow ties.
And don’t forget. Today is Speak Kind Words Day. Spread a little joy and give some compliments to strangers you see today or to loved ones.
