Learning is pleasurable but doing is the height of enjoyment.
~ Novalis (German – Poet / May 2, 1772 – March 25, 1801)
Holidays and Celebrations:
Porte Musings:
May 2nd is International Scurvy Awareness Day. A day to remember the disease caused by the lack of fresh fruit and vegetables. The plague of the 7 seas. The cure is easy. Eat fresh fruit and vegetables. An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
Or if you’re like the English, add limes to your diet or Lemonade and celebrate Lemonade Day while keeping scurvy away.
Or you could celebrate Tuna Day. I’m not certain if Tuna Day is to help ensure there will be tuna still alive for future generations, or a day to celebrate by eating a tuna sandwich. Either one sounds a little fishy. LOL
