Holidays and Celebrations:
Porte Musings:
April 28th is set aside to remember Workers’ Memorial Day, or also known as Mourning Day. A day to remember all the workers who have lost their lives at work. Our local tragedy, in London ON occurred when a building under construction collapsed leaving 2 dead and others injured. Orange safety vests are still hung outside homes to honour those that died. A recent Facebook meme showed one of the overhead highway signs that said: “See Bob. Bob wears orange. We need Bob. Don’t hit Bob.”
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that today is also National Superhero Day. Superheroes come in all shapes and forms. From the comic book superheroes to the everyday superheroes we salute you.
And of course we all live for the moment that the Superhero kisses the supporting role. So remember to celebrate National Kiss Your Mate Day. Yes one of those deep soul reaching kisses where you sweep each other in an embrace and the right foot lifts up. ❤
Okay, I will kiss my mate and even raise my right foot! Enjoy your day!
