Remembered as the Day the Music Died. Wikipedia: On February 3, 1959, American rock and roll musicians Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and “The Big Bopper” J. P. Richardson were killed in a plane crash near Clear Lake, Iowa, together with pilot Roger Peterson. So put on some old tunes and remember these 3 young artists that died far too young.
Also remember all the missing persons this day has been designated as : National Missing Persons Day. May they be found safe or at least found to bring closure to their family and friends.
Two other important reasons to celebrate February 3rd can be combined. Take a good book on Doggy Date Night so you can Read Out Loud with your dog. Recent news articles have promoted reading to dogs because they are an attentive, non-judgmental audience.
