- Just one week ago I was kayaking on the Old Ausable Channel. The water was still, the high level breeze was shaking the remaining oak leaves from the tree tops and it was 22C. Today is much different. We may have a high of 3C and snow is in the forecast. Blame it on COVID-19 restrictions, cuddle up beside a fireplace with a good mystery book and turn on some blues to celebrate the birthday of self proclaimed Father of the Blues, William Christopher Handy.
