If your pictures aren’t good enough,
you aren’t close enough.

Holidays and Celebrations:

National Nut Day

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, playgrounds were closed and children weren’t allowed on the monkey bars, swings and slides. Once the playgrounds were re-opened social distancing still had to be maintained. So children could climb, swing and slide again.

But they weren’t permitted to get too close or make new friends playing tag. My heart broke to watch children with social circles excluding others as if they had the plague. Only children faced exclusion even though they had been self-isolating for months before hoping to join the other children on the playground.

After playing hand sanitizer was used just in case someone using the playground equipment had left virus particles behind. During play the washrooms were closed, so many children had a temporary disappearance into the woods for a quick pee, before returning to play again.
