COVID-19 numbers in USA continue to grow. USA is the #1 country in the world for the number of confirmed cases and deaths.
I’ve heard the number of cases is comparable to the flu. However, the number of deaths attributed to the flu in the 2018-2019 season according to CDC for the USA:
CDC estimates that influenza was associated with more than 35.5 million illnesses, more than 16.5 million medical visits, 490,600 hospitalizations, and 34,200 deaths during the 2018–2019 influenza season.
